Ángel Nevado es Profesor Contratado Doctor en en el Dep. Psicología Experimental, Facultad de Psicología Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en Métodos en Neuroimagen y Pensamiento Crítico. Anteriormente fue investigador de Ramón y Cajal en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Antes de eso, fue investigador postdoctoral en el Centro de Neuroimagen de York (Universidad de York, Reino Unido) y en el Departamento de Psicología (Universidad de Newcastle upon Tyne, Reino Unido). Realicé mi doctorado en neurociencia computacional en el Departamento de Física de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (España)

Neurociencia computacional

Computational neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field which employs mathematical models and theoretical analysis to understand the principles that govern the physiology, structure and development of the nervous system, and related cognitive abilities. Specifically, in the laboratory we carry out brain network simulations based on real data, aimed at reproducing network connectivity in health and disease. A parallel activity concerning this research area is the application of brain-like processing strategies to address engineering problems.
